Spring

Where did the time go? Last post written was in the fall putting my garden to sleep. Now it's a new season and the plants and weeds are waking up. The older I get the longer it takes me clean up and plant . Little by little. I did get a bonus this year, my son Chris, his wife Deb and my grandson Theo came over Sunday and in 2 1/2 hours they accomplished what it would have taken me a month to do.
Have a rock garden that was very overgrown with runaway snow-on-the-mountain, so much so you could not see the rocks. These are very special rocks, they come from Poland and were used in a grotto of a church until the grotto was dismanteled. Many years old and handed down from one generation to the next. I call them Toofer rocks-not sure about that but that's what they go by.
They also dug out a bunch of day-lilies that are very evasive and hard to get rid of. After the edging of the bricks outlining my garden pine mulch was spread. Smells so good. With that done it was time to treat for lunch. Culvers for their butter burgers, fries,a drink and their famous custard sundaes.
Today I planted the last of the annuals-moss roses bought at the farmer's market a couple of weeks ago. Now it's time to sit back and enjoy until the weeds start coming up again.
I hope I blog something before fall sets in.
